Nasoduodenal (duodenal) tubes are single lumens, small bore tubes. Appropriate for patients at high risk of pulmonary regurgitation, such as those with gastric atony or gastroparesis, as well as with patients with pancreatitis, where it is considered desirable to feed beyond the ampulla. Nasoduodenal (duodenal) tubes are usually placed using fluoroscopic and endoscopic techniques.
