The LIAprim infusion pumps are disposable elastomeric pumps wich are used for the application of a liquid based medication. MEDIPRIM infusion pumps have a specially designed balloon-like reservoir that is filled with the drug or fluid intended for infusion. This balloon exerts mechanical pressure thereby administering the liquid-based medication through a flow restrictor creating the pre-determined flow rate. The entire unit is sterile and intended for single use only.
The disposable infusion pumps are designed for patients requiring intravenous, percutaneous, subcutaneous, intraoperative sites or epidural administration of medications. Medications that can be infused include analgesics, chemotherapeutics, antibiotics and infusion for rehydration.
Standard infusion pumps
-
Plastic container with balloon reservoir
The stretchable balloon reservoir inside of the container will be filled with a liquid based medication, and pressure from the elastic walls of the balloon drives fluid delivery.
Available volume
60 ml, 100 ml, 150 ml, 200 ml, 275 ml, 300 ml -
Luer-lock inlet
Luer-lock filling port with cap -
Tubing
Improved kink resistance due to a triangular cross-section of tubing. The fluid path is latex free.Slide clamp
Slide clamp for short-term interruption of infusion.
-
Antimicrobial filter
For non-lipid containing solutions that require filtration an optional in-line filter with a pore size of 0.2 microns is available. The membrane of the filter guarantees effective bacteria / particulate retention and air-elimination.
Particle retention
The infusion filter ensures that particles larger than the pore size rating will be retained. The use of infusion filters considerably reduces complications associated with particles. Pore size of the infusion filter is provided in microns and corresponds to any window or opening in the filter membrane.
Air elimination
Hydrophobic membrane blocks the passage of air and successfully vents the excess air out of the system through the vented side of housing. That removes air bubbles from infusion solutions, significantly reduce the risk of air embolism.
